Protecting The Gog

The Gog is a big-hearted, multi-award winning, down-to-earth farm shop in the rural setting of the Gog Magog Hills just south of Cambridge city centre. The Gog has been supplying the finest produce for over a century and is now spread across three buildings – greengrocery and butchery, deli and cheese shop, and wine. Its philosophy is to create a wonderful environment for the best food and drink around, offering it with pride in its provenance and a real understanding of its superior flavour.

We were therefore delighted to receive an enquiry to help The Gog improve its security system and protect its premises. When we attended site it emerged that the existing system had been poorly installed and was not fit for purpose, so we quoted to strip everything out and replace it with a state-of-the-art alternative which would not only provide better protection but also save money on ongoing rentals and servicing.

After conducting a thorough survey, we replaced the entire CCTV system and repositioned and installed 12 cameras, leaving scope to add more should the business expand and its requirements change. Overall, we delivered more coverage to improve The Gog’s Health & Safety provision and increase the site’s security levels. We also replaced the intruder alarm system and commissioned it to deliver a cloud service so that any issues or faults can easily be monitored and reported back.
